Part B (Internal Assessment) [mm = 20]

Method of calculating internal assessment for both the classes (IX, X) is same. This part is divided into four part Unit test Record, Multiple Assessment, Portfolio and Subject Enrichment Activities. Explanation of complete process is given below.

# Session 2022-23

INTERNAL ASSESSMENT [2022-23] For Classes IX and X Marks 1 Periodic Tests*Periodic Tests would be restricted to 3 in each subject in this year; School may conduct three unit test then take average of best two. 5 2 Multiple (Diverse) Assessments TestRole play/ Group Discussion/ Quiz/ Concept maps/ Blogs/ Debate/ Recitation/ Skit/ Art integrated/ Sport integrated activities 5 3 PortfolioHW Note Book Maintenance /Regular Assignments / HHA 5 4 Student Enrichment ActivitiesPractical work/ Speaking listening activities/ Project workNote: Art-integrated Project will continue as per the guidelines given in the Circular No. Acad 33/2020 dated 14th May 2020 5 TOTAL 20

 S. No. Internal Assessment Marks 1 Periodic Test Record 05 2 Multiple Assessment Record 05 3 Portfolio 05 4 Lab Practical 05 Total Marks 20

1.) Periodic Test Record :
A school should conduct three unit test throughout the year and at the year end select best two unit test out of three and find the average marks out of 10. Sample of compiling unit test record is shown below.

 Internal Assessment (2022-23) Periodic Test [5 marks] R. No. Students Name PT-1 PT-2 PT-3 Best 2 Test Total Out of 5 ........ Class [60/12] 1 2 3 4
PT-1 : Periodic Test 1
PT-2 : Periodic Test 2
PT-3 : Periodic Test 3

2. Multiple Assessment
Here I take three different assessment techniques Quiz, Worksheet test and Group Discussion. Multiple assessment is also be calculated from 5 marks.

 Internal Assessment (2022-23) Multiple Assessment [5 marks] R. No. Students Name Quiz W. T. G. D. Total Out of 5 ........ Class 30/6 1 2 3 4
W.T. : Worksheet Test
G.D. : Group Discussion

3. Record of Portfolio:
Teacher should prepare portfolio of the student's work throughout the year. This may include Note books of class work and home work , Regular Home Assignment, worksheets, Holiday Home Assignments, PPT, Charts, Performance in oral tests/quiz etc. Teacher may select 3, 4 best practices and make the evaluation record. Maximum marks for portfolio is 5.

Sample  assessment technique of Portfolio sheet is shown below.

 Internal Assessment (2022-23) Portfolio [5 marks] R. No. Students Name N/B HHA Assignments Total Out of 2 ........ Class ...... 10 10 10 30 30/6 1 2 3 4
N/B : Record of Note Book Checking
HHA : Record of Holiday Home Assignment

4. Subject Enrichment :
This topic based on the depth of knowledge gained by the students throughout the year. This may include Maths Activities on the prescribed note books,  models etc. Maximum marks for it is 5.
Sample  assessment technique of Subject Enrichment sheet is shown below.

 Internal Assessment (2022-23) Students Enrichment Activities [5 marks] R. No. Students Name Prac (N/B) Performance Viva Total Out of 5 ........ Class 9th A 10 10 10 30 30/6 1 2 3 4

5. Final Internal Assessment
Final assessment is made by compiling all the above three reports i.e. Unit test record, Portfolio and subject enrichment.

Sample of final assessment sheet is shown below.
 Internal Assessment (2022-23) Final Internal Assessment R. No. Students Name PT MA PF SEA Total ........ Class 9th A 5 5 5 5 20 1 2 3 4
PT : Periodic Test
MA : Multiple Assessment
PF : Portfolio
SEA : Subject Enrichment Activities

Compilation of Final Result
Part A = 80 Marks, Part B = 20 Marks ⇒ Total Marks = 100
For all the students, teacher should combine the marks obtained by the students in Part A and in Part B. If students got ≥ 33% marks  after combining part A and Part B then students qualified for the next class.

Sample of final result sheet is shown below
