### Lesson Plan Math Class 12 Ch-13 | Probability

E- LESSON PLAN   SUBJECT MATHEMATICS    CLASS 10+2
Lesson Plan, Class XII Subject Mathematics, chapter 13, Probability , for Mathematics Teacher. Effective way of Teaching Mathematics. Top planning by the teacher for effective teaching in the class. E lesson planning for mathematics.
Board – CBSE CLASS –XII SUBJECT- MATHEMATICS CHAPTER 13  :- Probability

TOPIC:- CHAPTER 13 : Probability

DURATION:-

This chapter is divided into 7 modules and is completed in 30 class meetings.

PRE- REQUISITE KNOWLEDGE:-

Knowledge of probability class XI

TEACHING AIDS:-

Green Board, Chalk,  Duster, Charts, smart board, projector, laptop etc.

METHODOLOGY:-   Lecture method

OBJECTIVES:-

• Conditional probability.
• Multiplication Theorem on probability.
• Independent events, mutually exclusive events and exhaustive events.
• Total probability , and Bayes theorem.
• Random variable and its probability distribution.
• Mean and variance of random variable.
PROCEDURE :-

Start the session by asking the questions related to the sample space, experimental and theoretical probability. Now introduce the topic conditional probability step by step as follows.

S. No

## Topic and Explanation 1

Explain the Conditional Probability :-

If E and F are two events associated with the same sample space of a random experiment, the conditional probability of the event E given that F has occurred,  is given by 2

Explain the multiplication theorem on probability and help the students in implementing these results in the problems.

3

Now explain the terms Independent events, Mutually Exclusive events and the difference between these two.

4

Now explain the concept of total probability and implement these results is different problems.

5

Explain the Baye’s Theorem and help the students in implementing this theorem in different problems.

6

Define random variable : It is a real valued function whose domain is the sample space of a random experiment.

Now explain the probability distribution of a random variable.

7

Now explain the Mean and Variance  of a random variable and use these results to solve the problems.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES:-

After studying this lesson students should know the
• Experimental, Theoretical and conditional probability.
• Students should know the multiplication theorem, independent events, total probability
• Students should know the Baye’s theorem.
• Students should know the random variable and  its probability distribution ,
• Students should know the mean and variance of random variable.
STUDENTS DELIVERABLES:-
• Review questions given by the teacher.
• Students can prepare the presentation on basic concepts of probability.
• Solve NCERT problems with examples.

EXTENDED LEARNING:-

Students can extend their learning in Application of Integrals through the  students can also find many interesting topics on mathematics at cbsemathematics.com

ASSESSMENT TECHNIQUES:-
• Assignment sheet will be given as home work at the end of the topic.
• Separate sheets which will include questions of logical thinking and Higher order thinking skills will be given to the above average students.
• Class Test , Oral Test , worksheet and Assignments. can be made the part of assessment.
• Re-test(s) will be conducted on the basis of the performance of the students in the test.
